Flatbread Pizza: The Best Post-Hike Meal

After a long and strenuous hike in The Whites, there is nothing better than stepping into the warmth of a wood burning fire and sitting down for a pizza at Flatbread Pizza Co. Even if the return trip from our chosen trail of the day doesn’t require driving through North Conway, we detour.

Not only is the food to die for, the staff is so friendly, and the parking nearby is plentiful. If you can’t find a spot which lines their building or the main road, there is a public lot located on the street behind the Eastern Slope Inn which is then connected to the building’s lot via a covered tunnel. Minimizing your steps from car to comfort food is critical after a hike.

While it’s especially cozy after a winter adventure, the summer is just as inviting and they also have a great patio area if you’d like to enjoy your meal outside.

My typical order: a 6 ounce pour of cabernet and a small vegan pizza with extra vegan cheese, light on the sauce. My fiancé’s: a 9 ounce pour of anything red and a large pepperoni mushroom. We finish it all in one sitting and keep a handful of pizza crust scraps for our doggo who naps comfortably in the climate controlled car.
